Biografie

Non-Divine – Insane Groove Rock Metal since 1999 Follow, watch or stream Non-Divine listed at https://linktr.ee/nondivine Non-Divine’s music is like melodic groove rock metal in its own original way. It was early 1999 when Dutch musician Ivor van Beek fulfilled his ambition to form a mainstream metal sounding band based on danceable grooves, melodic guitars and a diverse spectrum of vocals. Releasing their EP “My Obsession” in 2000 opened many doors for Non-Divine. Dressed in white psychiatric suits, Non-Divine is known for a crazy energetic live show. The band played many shows, a seven-week tour, won several competition awards and did support for acts such as Dio, Anthrax and Sabaton. With new material, Non-Divine also appeared worldwide on several split albums and compilations. Non-Divine’s debut album “Asylum 45” is a fictional concept album about a psychiatric hospital. In each song a patient tells his or her story. All patients are very different from each other and will enter your mind with all their mixed-up emotions. Let the music affect your brain and you will meet them all. When you feel the grooves and discover the strong harmonies and melodies, there’s no way back. You will be surrounded by madness of a special kind. The album “Asylum 45” was recorded, mixed and mastered by Danish producer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Flotsam and Jetsam, Amaranthe, Vola) and released worldwide in 2007 by Rusty Cage Records. Non-Divine did many headlining shows, support acts for bands such as Volbeat, Testament, Sonata Arctica and Queensrÿche and a European tour with Flotsam and Jetsam. Non-Divine also endorsed brands such as Peavey, Ernie Ball and Klotz-Ais. After Non-Divine was absent for seven years, in 2023 Ivor van Beek let it be known that he is busy writing and producing the second album as the only remaining bandmember. Also the news was shared that Non-Divine endorses Schecter guitars. Non-Divine worldwide re-released the debut album “Asylum 45” on all available platforms January 24th 2025. The re-release made the album more widely available. To celebrate, a full album stream lyrics video of “Asylum 45” was presented, made by Andrea Mantelli (Destruction, Cryptopsy, Burning Witches, Vile Art). The songs “One Man, One Soul” and “Visions” with their accompanying videos were re-presented. In January 2026, Non-Divine revealed the subject of the upcoming album “Alters.” It is another concept album, building on the fictional psychiatric theme of the debut album “Asylum 45.” The main character in “Alters” is a new patient from Asylum 45 who is diagnosed with D.I.D. (Dissociative Identity Disorder). Each song on the album features one of the patient's alters. The emotions, grooves, and melodies of the music follow the alters mood swings. Once again, you will be surrounded by madness of a special kind. Aligned with this Non-Divine also presented the new single “Eyeball” to be released February 27th 2026. The release of the single is ahead of the upcoming album “Alters”. The single is mastered by Danish producer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Flotsam and Jetsam, Arch Enemy, Amaranthe). The artwork and video is made by Andy Pilkington of Very Metal Art (Motörhead, Judas Priest, Opeth, Flotsam and Jetsam, Skindred). The alter from the single “Eyeball” kicks off. Meet Dr. Chill. The medical/political ruler believes he underwent a lobotomy in the past that made him more relaxed and a better person. As a leader and doctor, he therefore also gives his imaginary followers a lobotomy. The followers form a new social class of people who are better and more peaceful than other people. They unite and separate themselves from corrupt society as a cult.
